I spent a lot of time with my family lately. It's been very slow and I haven't had a chance to do much work over the holidays. I don't have any New Year's resolutions planned as of yet although I certainly have money and resources to start working on some personal projects. All I need now is time.
Lately, I've been fascinated by the possibilities of learning new skills once again. I am currently working on my one-handed juggling and hope to get to the cascade by the end of the week.
I can't wait for the snow to return so that I can hit the slopes for the first time. If I had to pick between snowboarding and skiing, I think that I'd try the board first. Let me know what you think.

Sloppy Monday
I was definitely tired after spending the night at the cinema watching Tron Legacy. This made for a very slow and painful day. The hot wings and spaghetti that I had at BP were really good. As for the movie, I have to say that I really enjoyed it. The music and soundtrack were great as well as the graphics. I was a little thrown off at the disclaimer at the beginning of the movie stating that the introduction / first x number of minutes of the movie would be in 2D (the "real" world scenes). As with many reviews, I did think that they missed out on great character building and action sequences that would have not only lengthened the movie but have made it's execution a whole lot sturdier.
I had a chance to finish some more Christmas shopping today but I will have to go again tomorrow evening to finish everything once and for all. I'll also have to go on a wrapping spree sometime to get everything packaged and ready to go.
The game of the night is Silent Hill for the Playstation. It's not the scariest Silent Hill game but it still manages to inflict distress with it's creepy sounds and sluggish controls. We are currently early in the game exploring the school. There are creepy white dwarves with daggers trying to butt fuck us.

Sunday night
I have to say that it is always pleasant receiving a call from friends unexpectedly. It makes you feel slightly important that someone is actually thinking about you at a random point of existence.
I've went out for supper and lunch too many times to count over the past week. Between the sushi, the pasta, more pasta, McDonald's and a few others, my digestive system will most likely commit suicide by Monday morning. Maybe I should warn the janitor at work?!? Either way, it seems that I'll be going out for supper again tonight at Boston Pizza followed by a viewing of Tron Legacy in 3D.
I've been trying to sit down to give the original Tron movie a second fly-through but just can't seem to enjoy the movie possibly due to it's sheer cheesiness. I remember a joke that I used to tell my sisters after finding out that they were making a second Tron movie. It was something like: "Tron 2.0, it's not Tron 1.0" or "Tron 2.0, this time it's different". Needless to say, our first sitting of Tron was our last. Even if I was into the PC gaming and computer science circles, I just felt although the first movie was outdated and 'dumb'. I am happy however that I'll finally get to put my mind at ease and find out if I was right about the sequel being better.
I wish everybody a good Sunday evening and a very tired Monday morning at work tomorrow!
